Does anyone reading this who has peripheral neuropathy? What have you found to relieve the pain?

I have had peripheral neuropathy for 10 years or so. It is a nerve disease that has no cure for the type I have. DRS. says all they can do is try to make my life better to deal with me painkillers. It ‘very painful and medical help if not for me so sleepy. It ‘very rarely heard. I’m sure there are many cases, the problem is there is not much knowledge about it. The longer I have, I become the weaker and more spread. It worries me that I will soon be in a wheelchair. When I talk with my doctor, Dr. analgesia, or neurologist on this subject seem to be in a hurry without comment. I do not know what I expect to say. I think I just need to talk to someone who knows where I come from. Although some have painful tingling in the toes and the doctor does not know what is wrong or remove because it is just another stupid complaint, ask if you can be mined for neauropathy devices.

I have this miserable disease and I never go a day without pain is often very difficult. Peripheral neuropathy is difficult to treat, and not all the answers for the same drug. I CYMBALTA 60 mg once a day and Lyrica 50mg three times daily. This makes the pain bearable. I had neuropathy in fifteen years. In my case, it gradually worsened. I am not a wheelchair, but sometimes I need a cane to help with balance, or when one of the nerves of the feet get really illa.Du did not say what drugs were, but if you are taking Neurontin (gabapentin) made me groggy. My neurologist tried Neurontin and I was also dizzy and drowsy, I also tried Trileptal (oxcarbazepine), which I still drowsiness and dizziness to the point that I would fall. Now I am on Lyrica, which is to Neurontin, but has side effects.

I have had Neuropathy for 8 years in my feet and lower legs and am not diabetic, I have tried everything ever mentioned. Only limited time with Acupuncture. A year ago it started in my hands and has progressed. It is with me 24 hours a day.

I recently tried the money back MSN which claims 90% success. (I would not believe that). I am in the 10% non success catagorey for sure. Not the slightest help.

    * Cymbalta, Lyrica, Neurontin, various electronic stimulations and laser, creams. patches, massage, hot and cold, B-12 shots, Chelation, Alpha Lipoic probably cited by more people than anything else,
3 month herbal treatments from a very famous Indian doctor and far too many other things than I could list here. Read Senett’s books for other suggestions.
