One Response to Handbook of Peripheral Neuropathy

  1. I’ve been searching forever for a comprehensive book that didn’t cost more than $30, but goes into detail, but is readable by a layperson. I hate those books that are pre-school level or 6 year medical school. This is it, but look for an inexpensive used book. . . I found this one for $18 on Amazon! This excellent book covers: Laboratory Evaluation of Peripheral Neuropathy (electrodiagnostic, quantitative sensory, autonomic nervous system, nerve history, pathology, skin biopsy, MR imaging); Imflammatory Demyelinating Neuropathies (acute, chronic, multifocal); Neuropathies Associated with Disease; Hereditary Neuropathies; Focal Peripheral Neuropathies; and finally Treatments. It’s full of diagrams, charts, pictures, and references. A must have reference book for those of us suffering from Peripheral Neuropathy. Your best defense is understanding the symptoms and the cause and asking questions of your doctors!!
