The causes of diabetes are not yet fully understood. Neither are medical scientists able to explain why some people develop diabetes and others do not. Some factors have been clearly identified as contributing to the development of diabetes. Is diabetes hereditary?Inheritance is an important factor. That diabetes can be inherited has been known for centuries. However, the pattern of inheritance is not fully understood. Statistics show that those who have a family history of this disease have a higher risk of developing diabetes than those without this background. The risk factor is 25-33 percent more.Children are more likely to develop diabetes if one or both parents are diabetic, or if the mother was diabetic, or if the mother was a certified diabetes before conception. This may not always be true. And ‘possible for parents who have been or are diabetic and the other remains disease free. However, it is important that the levels of blood sugar in a diabetic pregnant woman who is kept within normal range, so that diabetes is not transmitted to their children. The level of blood sugar is kept under control, the child may not have symptoms of diabetes hereditary, but a risk factor can not be excluded. One reason why diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes runs in families is due to the diabetes gene. But even if it is caused by genetic factors beyond your control, there is no reason to suffer from it. Diabetes can not be cured completely respect, but can be effectively controlled so that you do not know the difference.intensive genetic research continues to identify genes associated with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. In a study sponsored by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease Registry U.S. families could type 1 diabetes treated with low doses of either insulin or oral medication to determine if the drug can prevent the disease.Studies show that in India, diabetes is more common among men than women. In this population, the family, diabetes mellitus was the fifth 5 to 11. 6 percent. Among diabetics, 18. 3 percent in urban areas and 6. 4 percent of the rural population had a direct relative with diabetes. Therefore, genetic predisposition in India is comparable to that observed in other parts of the world. Diet: Because self-inflictedDiabetes has been described by many medical scientists as a “prosperity disease, mainly due to systematic overeating. Not only is eating too much sugar and refined carbohydrates harmful, but proteins and fats, which are converted into sugar, may also lead to diabetes if they are in surplus.Too much food taxes the pancreas and ultimately its normal activities that produce insulin become paralyzed. It ‘s interesting to note that diabetes is almost unknown in countries where people are poor and can not afford to overeat. The incidence of diabetes is directly linked with the consumption of processed foods rich in refined carbohydrates, like biscuits, bread, chocolate cake, pudding and ice cream. In Britain during the war, when only the bread was the incidence of diabetes decreased by 55 percent.Parents should be careful to develop the right eating habits of their children. Children should be prevented from becoming addicted to harmful foods, like ice cream, cakes, jams, jellies, mint, chocolate and other sweets. The amount of food given to children should be sufficient to allow growth but not obesity. Children must be convinced of the importance of sports and games and sports should be encouraged. The ideal body weight and body proportion is almost certain guarantee against diabetes. Trigger ObesityObesity is a major cause of diabetes. Studies indicate that 60-85% of diabetics tend to be overweight. In the U.S., approximately 80 percent of type -2 diabetes are reported non-insulin-dependent to be overweight. During the Second World War when there was a decrease in the average mass of the population, came down the incidence of diabetes dramatically. The greater the obesity, the higher the mortality rate due to complications from diabetes.excess fat prevents insulin from working properly. The more fat tissue in the body, the more resistant the muscle and tissue cells become to insulin in the body. Insulin allows blood sugar to enter cells by acting on receptors on the cell surface. In obesity, in which a person is overweight with 20 percent of ideal weight or have high uric acid, or a syndrome, the receptors are sparse and functionally inactive. This has been observed in patients who develop diabetes at the age of 40 years, and with type 2 diabetes non-insulin-dependent. It is estimated that the prevalence of diabetes is four times higher in subjects with moderate obesity, and three times higher in subjects with severe obesity. It ‘been rightly said, the inheritance is like a cannon and obesity and pull the trigger.Older people often tend to gain weight, and the same time, many of them and develop a mild form of diabetes Because who are over weight can often improve their blood sugar simply by losing weight. In some cases, it is increasingly necessary for blood sugar back to normal. Even small weight loss can have beneficial effects, reducing blood sugar levels, or do drugs work better. But a sudden weight gain can cause diabetes to go back. It ‘so important for older people to keep weight down to normal. Between the detection of diabetes, nearly one third are obese. Virus infectionsinfection of the pancreas with Coxsackie B virus can cause damage to beta cells, the development of autoantibodies and then type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. Some of these can be diagnosed with a viral antibody test and shear test cell antibodies. Screening for antibodies can potentially indicate juvenile diabetes in a family on the basis of autoimmunity. Lifestyle riskA sedentary lifestyle, due to lack of physical work and exercise, plays a major role in the development of diabetes. The less active a person, the greater the risk of developing diabetes. moderns have made the work easier. Physical activity and exercise helps control weight, uses a lot of glucose (sugar) in the blood as energy and makes cells more sensitive to insulin. Consequently, the burden on the pancreas is reduced.Exercise also helps muscle mass. Typically, between 70 percent to 90 percent sugar in the blood is absorbed into the muscles. A decrease in muscle mass, and for age, physical inactivity, reducing storage space for your blood sugar, and remains in the blood. Smoking: a major risk factorSmoking is another major risk factor. Among men who smoke, the risk of developing diabetes is doubled. In women who smoke 25 cigarettes a day, the risk of developing diabetes increased by 40 percent. Smoking also reduces blood flow to the retina and increases the risk of developing retinopathy. It also reduces the absorption of insulin and lead the movement limits. Smoking in combination with diabetes, significantly increases the risk of premature mortality. It also depends on the number of cigarettes a day a person smokes and the number of years was smoking. Ageincreases the risk of type 2 diabetes as you get older, especially older than 45 years. Part of the explanation is that there are people grow, they tend to be less physically active, lose muscle mass and weight. With an increasingly sedentary lifestyle, there has been a rise in diabetes among people in the ’30s and ’40s. Stress and strainStress can be emotional or physical, such as surgery or a serious infection, an accident or an emotional shock. Another feature urban, high stress lifestyle, not just among young unwardly Mobile, but increasingly in all walks of life, is a relatively new phenomenon in India. Since there is a relationship between stress and known diabetes mellitus, those who are under stress and / or lead an irregular lifestyle, need to take precautions and make necessary adjustments to lifestyle.Pancreatic insufficiency caused by stress, can lead to diabetes. The pain, worry and anxiety resulting from examinations, death of a close relative, loss of pleasure, bankruptcy and forced marriage at all a profound influence on sugar metabolism and can cause appears in the urine. Organic diseasesDiabetes can be associated with some serious organic diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis and diseases of the brain. Diabetes can also be caused by a number of other factors. These include metabolic and genetic diseases, inadequate secretion of insulin in the pancreas, malfunctioning of other endocrine glands like thyroid, pituitary and adrenal alcohol consumption, and excessive use of certain drugs. RaceAlthough the reasons are unclear, people of certain races are more likely to develop diabetes than others.

Every year thousands of cases of peripheral neuropathy is registered in just to discuss it. So, what is peripheral neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy can be described as a condition characterized by one or more of the following: numbness, tingling, numbness and burning, insomnia and other unpleasant feelings that patients who are diagnosed with this condition (PN) experience. Some patients may have only one of these many symptoms. However, patients who all these unpleasant symptoms.

Peripheral neuropathy is very common. In the U.S., it was estimated that approximately 15-20000000 patients who suffer from it. What causes peripheral neuropathy? No longer diabetes. Most cases are idiopathic or due to unknown reasons.

In some cases, peripheral neuropathy caused by medication after chemotheraphy or the toxicity of heavy metals. More and more people in poor physical condition is suffering from metabolic syndrome, in which blood sugar and blood lipids (fats) are abnormal. Metabolic syndrome is very common in a more sedentary and obese.

In the U.S. alone, annual medical costs of peripheral neuropathy phenomenal. One study showed that complications from diabetic peripheral neuropathy only $ 11000000000 approach! The total cost of peripheral neuropathy and its complications are unique. Approaching nearly $ 14000000000 year. In addition, about 27% of direct costs of medical care for diabetes can be attributed to diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

If you prefer, you can do the same up to the minute research in the treatment of most health conditions, including neuropathy online. There is a traditional, peripheral, choices, and can really be disconcerting. You like the majority of patients have probably already done.

But we learned that most of our patients are the best at their first contact with a licensed qualified health maintenance. We can definitely help sort through a large number of data for a medical condition.

This is true for peripheral neuropathy. Since PN is often caused by unknown diagnosis means for determining what is not. The diagnosis of PN is truly a diagnosis of exclusion. It ‘important that the patient’s medical history, genetics and the registration of the drug should be carefully examined.

Chiropractors and physiotherapists who take care of patients with peripheral neuropathy also coordinated many doctors different pupils to see that everything is in order when one looks more of a case.

Diabetes neuropathy has caused me pain in my feet for quite some time. Maybe seven or eight months of tingling in my lower extremities has On occasion I had severe pain. Before my condition got worse I started to reverse the tide after seeing an Acupuncturist who pointed me in the right direction. My course of action is something anyone can do. I will share what worked for me later in this article.

Diabetes neuropathy causes and symptoms.

Diabetic neuropathy is nerve damage. Diabetes neuropathy usually appears in your legs and feet. If you have had diabetes for an extended period of time it is likely that you will get neuropathy. Tingling feeling in your limbs will be one of the symptoms of this form of diabetes. Internally, if your organs in your body are disturbed by neurology suffer from vomiting, diarrhea, bloating and abdominal pain. You may also be ill with sexual problems, dizziness, weakness and urinary concerns.

Diabetic neuropathy has a few different classes.

There are three kinds of diabetic neuropathy, with peripheral neuropathy being the most common. Peripheral reduces capability to sense pain temperature, touch and vibration in distinct areas of your body. If you have peripheral you probably are being affected in the lower parts of your legs and in your feet. Potential problems include ulcers bone and joint defects and infection.

The nerves control the involuntary workings of your body. These include heartbeat, sweating, digestion, urination and some sexual functions. If these are your issues then there may have been some damage to the nerves that control those tasks. Autonomic neuropathy is also very common.

Focal neuropathy affects a single nerve. Usually it is in the foot, thigh or wrist. The single nerve may also affect your eyesight if it is one of the nerves that control eyesight in your back or chest.

Visiting your health care provider would make sense. You may need a neurological examination or an electromyogram (EMG) to determine what is the problem. Knowing what to treat is part of the treatment.

As I told you in the beginning of this article I am informing you of what has been working for me. My diet has changed to one of all raw foods. When I saw a doctor she told me that I would need to be on this diet for approximately six months. So far I have been eating uncooked fruits, vegetables and some nuts for three weeks as of May 5, 2007. I am experiencing relief. My feet feel and look better. There is less pain and less of a tingling feeling in my lower extremities. Hey, I am getting petty good diversifying salads I am making. I will keep you apprised as to how I am doing with my diet and condition.

Beating diabetes naturally. That’s the ticket. Grab your free information. It is in the author’s area of this article.

Peripheral neuropathy is disorder of nerve (s) apart from the brain and spinal cord. Patients with peripheral neuropathy may have tingling, numbness, unusual sensations, weakness, pain or burning.

Peripheral nerves also send sensory information to the brain and spinal cord, for example, a message that the feet are cold or a finger is burned. The damage to the peripheral nervous system affecting these important connections. Like static on a telephone line, peripheral neuropathy distorts and sometimes interrupts messages between the brain and the rest of the body. Since all the peripheral nerves have a very specialized function in a particular body part, a wide spectrum of symptoms can occur when nerves are damaged.

Peripheral neuropathy is a problem with the functioning of the nerves outside the spine. Symptoms include numbness, weakness, burning pain (especially at night), and loss of reflexes. Possible causes could be carpel tunnel syndrome, paresthetica Meralgo, vitamin or nutritional deficiencies and diseases such as diabetes, syphilis, AIDS, and renal failure. Most of the causes of peripheral neuropathy can be successfully treated or prevented.

The nerve injury peripheral neuropathy usually appears as a complication of other diseases such as diabetes or AIDS, or as a reaction to drugs or chemicals. nerve damage can be caused by viral and bacterial infections, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, cancer, vitamin deficiency, kidney disease, liver disease, or hereditary conditions. Other cases of peripheral neuropathy include trauma, penetrating wounds, contusions, fractures and dislocated bones. Nerve damage can also result from prolonged exposure to radiation of heat or cold treatment for cancer, severe vomiting (which may occur during early pregnancy) and various other causes.

Peripheral neuropathy is sometimes caused by HIV, but is usually a side effect of drugs. Sometimes neuropathy can be caused by vitamin deficiency or diabetes. The diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy occurs through a physical exam. Tests of vitamin B12 levels, thyroid function and levels of blood sugar are also used to monitor vitamin A deficiency or diabetes. If peripheral neuropathy is caused by a drug, the symptoms are usually better when the drug is discontinued, although it may take 6-8 weeks and the pain may actually be worse for a while ‘.

No medical treatments that can cure inherited peripheral neuropathy. But there are treatments for many other forms. In general, adopting healthy habits – the weight as best as possible, avoiding exposure to toxins, Following a doctor monitored exercise program, eat a balanced diet, correcting vitamin deficiencies, and limiting or avoiding alcohol consumption – can reduce the physical and emotional peripheral neuropathy. Systemic diseases frequently require more complex treatments.

In general, drug therapy for peripheral neuropathy is individualized for each patient and depends on a number of factors that your doctor will consider that your past and present medical history, the seriousness of pain, take medications, the presence of other conditions of serious co-morbidity (eg, kidney disease, liver disease) and history of drug allergy. Many of the drugs used for treating peripheral neuropathy are used off-label “, which means they are approved by the UP Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment of other specific conditions (not peripheral neuropathy), but it proved in over time to be effective for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy.

Peripheral neuropathy is disorder of nerve(s) apart from the brain and spinal cord. Patients with peripheral neuropathy may have tingling, numbness, unusual sensations, weakness, or burning pain.

Peripheral nerves also send sensory information back to the brain and spinal cord, such as a message that the feet are cold or a finger is burned. Damage to the peripheral nervous system interferes with these vital connections. Like static on a telephone line, peripheral neuropathy distorts and sometimes interrupts messages between the brain and the rest of the body. Because every peripheral nerve has a highly specialized function in a specific part of the body, a wide array of symptoms can occur when nerves are damaged.

Peripheral neuropathy is a problem with the functioning of the nerves outside of the spinal cord. Symptoms may include numbness, weakness, burning pain (especially at night), and loss of reflexes. Possible causes may include carpel tunnel syndrome, meralgia paresthetica, vitamin or nutritional deficiencies, and illnesses like diabetes, syphilis, AIDS, and kidney failure. Most causes of peripheral neuropathy can be successfully treated or prevented.

The nerve damage of peripheral neuropathy most commonly appears as a complication of another disorder such as diabetes or AIDS, or as a reaction to drugs or chemicals. Nerve damage can result from viral and bacterial infections, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, cancer, vitamin deficiencies, kidney disease, liver disease, or inherited conditions. Other causes of peripheral neuropathy include trauma, penetrating injuries, bruises, fractures, and dislocated bones. Nerve damage can also result from extended exposure to cold or heat, radiation therapy for cancer, excessive vomiting (which may occur during early pregnancy), and various other causes.

Peripheral neuropathy can sometimes be caused by HIV but is most commonly a side effect of drugs. Sometimes neuropathy can be caused by vitamin deficiencies or diabetes. Diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy is done by a physical exam. Tests of vitamin B12 levels, thyroid function and glucose levels are also used to check for vitamin deficiencies or diabetes. If peripheral neuropathy is caused by a drug, the symptoms usually get better once the drug is stopped, although it can take 6-8 weeks and the pain can actually get worse for a while.

No medical treatments exist that can cure inherited peripheral neuropathy. However, there are therapies for many other forms. In general, adopting healthy habits — such as maintaining optimal weight, avoiding exposure to toxins, following a physician-supervised exercise program, eating a balanced diet, correcting vitamin deficiencies, and limiting or avoiding alcohol consumption — can reduce the physical and emotional effects of peripheral neuropathy. Systemic diseases frequently require more complex treatments.

In general, drug therapy for peripheral neuropathy is individualized for each patient and depends upon a number of factors that your doctor will take into consideration such as your past and present medical history, extent of pain, other medications that you may be taking, presence of other serious comorbid conditions (such as kidney disease, liver disease) and history of drug allergies. Many of the drugs used to treat peripheral neuropathy are used “off-label”, meaning that they are approved by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of other specific conditions (not for peripheral neuropathy) but have been shown over time to be effective also for the treatment of peripheral neuropathy.
