Cheap The Johns Hopkins Guide to Diabetes: For Today and Tomorrow (A Johns Hopkins Press Health Book) Discount Review Shop
I bought this book soon after diagnosis (NIDDM), looking for a serious book (ie, not "aliens kidnapped me and treated diabetes with broccoli") on my new "best friend". That's it. Well written, accessible and informative that the diabetic needs to know.
The only negative point is that IDDM and NIDDM mixed with a little cover 'for my immediate needs to know – who learn what I know now, are needed. So I skipped the chapter on insulin, etc. After the first reading, go back and read everything but, to my knowledge.
I recommend "50 Things to do when your doctor says it's diabetes," as the first and then this book than the latter.
