What kind of treatments are there for Neuropathy?

Neuropathy has a number of causes and treatments that seem to be ever-evolving. The cause can influence the treatment. It can be a very difficult condition to treat. There are medications (neuroleptic – anti-seizure) and narcotic and other pain medications as well as some antidepressant medications that have studies supporting their use. Sometimes physical therapy can be helpful. Sometimes a nerve block is employed. Most major cities or medical univesity centers have specialists in this area. If you are not improving, I would not hesitate to visit a specialist as this, as you know, can be a debilitating problem.
